For doctors

Follow your patients between visits.

Daya Doctor brings together what your linked patients record between visits and the alerts sent when Daya, the AI assistant in their app, recognises a possible warning sign. Diagnosis and prescribing stay with you.

Your working day

Prepared before the visit, in touch after it.

What Daya doesn’t change for you

  • Daya doesn’t promise your patients a reply time from you; they see only whether you are available or away.
  • If Daya recognises a possible warning sign, your patient gets urgent-care instructions at once, without waiting for you.
  • Alerts reach you as push notifications today (text-message and phone-call delivery is being added). Delivery is not guaranteed, and Daya does not pass alerts or messages to another clinician.
  • Daya’s assessments and urgency levels come from AI software: prompts for your review, not clinical assessments, and they can be incomplete or wrong.
  • Your own urgent and out-of-hours arrangements still apply.

Before the visit

Start the appointment knowing what she has recorded

  • Open her record: symptoms and check-in answers, blood pressure, weight and blood glucose, fetal movement counts, contraction timings and uploaded reports, including entries from before she linked to you.
  • Read her conversations with Daya since you last saw her, with Daya’s assessment of each, including the urgency level: red, yellow or green.
  • Check the day’s bookings in your Daya Doctor calendar.

Good to know: Daya does not review your patient’s entries or readings on your behalf: what you review, and when, remains your clinical judgement.

During the visit

Set the plan she follows at home

  • Add a new patient during the visit. She consents separately to sharing her information with you, and can stop sharing or unlink at any time.
  • Set or update her care plan. She sees it in Daya Patient.
  • Add a clinical note, and comment on a report she has uploaded.

Good to know: Daya does not connect to clinic or hospital record systems. Your patient can export her record as a PDF for another doctor or hospital.

Between and after visits

Stay in touch without scattered chats

  • Reply to messages, and send an update to one patient or several at once.
  • Work through your alert inbox: each alert has a structured summary and is tracked as pending, acknowledged or resolved, with a record of what you did.
  • Show your status, available or away, so your patients know.
  • Keep following her after the birth, with her earlier record still in view.

Two examples

From routine follow-up to a possible warning sign.

Illustrations written for this page, not customer stories; the details are invented.

Example 1 · Illustrative
Routine follow-up at 28 weeks
  1. At the visit

You add “log blood pressure each morning” to her care plan in Daya Doctor, and she sees it in Daya Patient.

  2. Between visits

Her readings appear in her record. She asks Daya about trouble sleeping. Daya asks follow-up questions, does not recognise a warning sign and gives general guidance; the assessment appears in her record with a green urgency level. That evening, you send her a short message.

  3. Before the next visit

You review her readings and her conversations with Daya since you last saw her. At the appointment, you update her care plan and add a clinical note.

Example 2 · Illustrative
A possible warning sign late in the evening
  1. 11:40 PM

She tells Daya that her baby is moving less than usual. Daya recognises a possible warning sign and shows her urgent-care instructions at once. An alert with a structured summary is sent to your app as a push notification, and she can see whether you have been notified.

  2. When you see it

You open the alert, acknowledge it and record what you did: for example, that you called her and told her where to be seen. If an alert is not acknowledged, Daya shows the patient further instructions.

  3. Afterwards

She uploads the hospital’s report. You comment on it, update her care plan and mark the alert resolved.

Daya does not guarantee that an alert is delivered or seen in time, and does not replace your arrangements for urgent and out-of-hours care. Patients are told to seek emergency care directly when they may be in danger.

Customisation

What you set, what the Daya team sets, and what needs a conversation.

Some things are fixed for every doctor, to keep patients safe.

You, in Daya Doctor

Change these yourself

  • Practice profile
  • Booking slots and hours: when patients can book with you
  • Language and notifications
  • Templates you reuse
  • Availability: available or away
  • Each patient’s care plan and notes

These apply to your own account.

The Daya team

Set by the Daya team, the same for everyone

  • Licence verification when you sign up.
  • The warning-sign rules and the red, yellow and green urgency levels. A consultant sets, documents and versions them.
  • Daya’s medical content, reviewed by a consultant obstetrician-gynaecologist; the questions Daya asks and the check-ins; and the format of alert summaries.
  • Urgent-care instructions to your patient, which appear at once and never wait for your reply.
  • What you can see: your patient decides it through her consent.

Doctors’ FAQ

Questions doctors ask.

Who can use Daya Doctor?

Obstetrician-gynaecologists in private practice or private hospitals, joining as individual doctors. Daya is starting in Egypt.

What does Daya do for your patients, and what can’t Daya do?

Daya answers your patient’s questions in general terms, asks follow-up questions, takes her week of pregnancy, history and earlier conversations into account, and gives instructions, including when to seek urgent care. Daya gives this guidance to your patient directly, and you can read the conversations in her record. Daya does not diagnose, cannot examine, does not write prescriptions and may be wrong. Diagnosis and prescribing are yours.

Does Daya provide doctors to patients?

No. Daya connects a woman with her own doctor when that doctor uses Daya, and does not provide or assign doctors. Patients without a linked doctor use Daya on their own.
